First thoughts on Highway to Hell

Title and Summary

Perfect title for a thriller, it makes a connection to a song of the same name, which is fast paced and high energy, which leads the reader to believe the story will be the same. The well done cover art helps the reader come to this conclusion as well. The summary, brief, concise, does a fine job explaining what will happen in the story, overall, everything looks intriguing.

Plot/Storyline

Highway to Hell is what you would predict from a story with the undead. However that doesn't stop the story from being a fun read. There was excellent use of sounds and directing, and many custom backgrounds which I enjoyed. The author zoomed out on scenes all the way, which at first I found confusing, but then enjoyed because it gave a more dramatic feel, like I was watching a movie.

Story content and flow

Each chapter flowed well, although the first chapter was a bit on the shorter side. The use of music and sounds also helped the story flow and keep it thrilling as well as the many choices, however my recommendation would be to have more impactful ones. The first few chapters are mystery as well as thriller, so it made the story perfect for this genre.

Errors

Little errors, spelling and grammar mistakes occasionally, and the misuse of a word.

Impact of the story based on the genre submitted

One of the rare breed of thrillers on Episode, Highway to Hell does hit the marks it needs to be a good story in this genre. The plot may be unoriginal or overdone, however nothing is truly original, so no interest is lost there, but the author does a good job of keeping the story engaging and readable. Everybody loves a good zombie story.

Recommendation

Highway to Hell is a well written story that’s action packed and rare to find on episode. It’s a great read that deviates from the usual finds in the trending section and would recommend to anyone looking for something fresh and new to read on episode.

Cheers,
