First thoughts on Black Absinthe

Title and Summary

I didn’t quite know what Absinthe was, as I’m not very familiar with alcoholic beverages, but after further research and then getting to read the story, I loved the way the title fit in with the plot.  I liked the fact that the author used a piece of dialogue for the summary, and it was an alluring one, could’ve been better if it gave a clearer idea of the story.

Plot/Storyline

“Black Absinthe” contains accurate and faultless events from the late 1950s-1960s, with a proficient vocabulary. The plot hasn’t failed to blow my mind away, as it has very mature real-world themes. The plot twists always leave me on the edge of my seat. The author used the “Spotlight” format, which is rare to see around the episode community, and designed such enchanting characters and a very solid plot.

Story content and flow

The flow was absolutely perfect, the author also left room for doubt, therefore the reader can think about it, and let their imagination take over, since the author hasn’t specified whether the character “Absinthe” was a real person or just a figment of the MC’s imagination, either way, it makes everything much more interesting.

Errors

Absolutely no noticeable errors, the plot was perfect, dialogue was flawless, and the grammar was on point.

Impact of the story based on the genre submitted

I rarely find good thriller stories on Episode, so when I got “Black Absinthe” as a submission I was very intrigued. It fits very well in the genre submitted and I’m extremely satisfied with the way this story turned out.

Recommendation

Black Absinthe is a must read for those who love a good thriller. It will leave you hanging and asking for more after every chapter. It is very rare to find such a good story in the trending sections, as this one is a masterpiece in my opinion.

Cheers,
